Online marketing & using social media

12 October 11 am – 1 pm

I started sharing work on Instagram in October 2016 and within 3 years organically grew an 85k following. This workshop will be a friendly open forum to hear the inside tricks and tips I have learned and harnessed along my social media journey from artistic oblivion to sustainable income and full-time career. I will share my story, pitfalls, and traps to avoid, how to feel the love and enjoy sharing your passion on social media without feeling overwhelmed and burnt out. Social media is an uber-powerful tool for reaching a global audience with zero financial outlay, for networking into your desired industry, achieving the recognition you never dreamt of and monetizing your work so you can earn the payback you deserve. Everything is possible!

We will also consider some action plans for you to rocket-launch your ideas.

What to include on your Kickass Website

12 October 2pm-4pm

Learn how to make your website work for you!

Charlotte works in marketing and specialises in the marketing & professionalising of artists.

When I’m promoting my work, one of the fundamental questions I always ask myself is: 'Can they find me?' 'Who are “they?' And 'What do I want them to find? ' In this workshop, I’m going to give you the fundamentals of promoting yourself online. A quick, simple win is your website – this is your shop window, which will frame you as a professional artist and help get you found by your adoring fans.

I'll be going through the basics of Search Engine Optimization, data capture and user experience (oh my!). Once it’s all set up, you’ll be reaping the cumulative benefits for years to come!
