Life Drawing at the Cartoon Museum AMC and Jessica Martin

Art Model Collective’s partnership with the Cartoon Museum continues with a session inspired by the current In Focus capsule exhibit. This time the limelight is on Jessica Martin's new book, Life Drawing: A Life Under Lights.

The model will be taking inspiration from Jessica's work and stories. Join us for this fun theatrical bohemian Sunday session!

Jessica Martin has had a wide ranging career, a star of stage and screen, and now of graphic novels.
Jessica has graced the boards of West End stages in musicals like Me and My Girl and Elf. She used her acting chops in Doctor Who as Mags - a punk werewolf! She lent her voiceover to Spitting Image, and now she is making her way as a cartoonist!

So it’s such a special treat to have Jessica in the house at this life drawing session. Adding authenticity to this experience, she will be treating the audience to the readings from her autobiographical book. Not just that - she will be drawing along, and may even strike a pose or two! Wife/ mother/ comic artist by day/ actress/ singer/ impressionist by night. Not exactly a super hero but a woman juggling the demands of ‘a life under lights’ and enough ups and downs to warrant a versatile and engaging ‘bio pic’ style life drawing session.

Life drawing session starts at 1pm, but the ticket holders are very welcome to come from 12:30 and look around the museum to draw inspiration.

Be sure to enjoy the In Focus display curated by the Front of House and Retail Manager Alison Brown.
